What do I do first?

First, think about what you want. Decide on a color scheme. Pull pictures from magazines, books, etc. if you can and start a file. Anything that shows me what you like will help when designing your mural.

What if I don't know what I want?

Relax. I will work through this with you. I have an extensive library of ideas and will talk with you and ask lots of questions to determine what would be the best design for your room. Usually, you have something in your mind even if you can't express it yet. I'm very good at helping you visualize and express what you want or coming up with something new and exciting.

Do you charge for consultations?

The initial consultation and portfolio review is free within thirty miles of my studio in Northbrook, Il. Anyone outside of this area will be charged a fee of $50. due at the time of the consultation. Take a look at my online portfolio and give me a call to discuss your project on the phone first. If you like what you see and hear, the $50. will be well spent.

How does the design process work?

During the initial meeting I will look at and measure your room or rooms, listen to your thoughts and show you my samples. We will try to come up with a basic design idea and budget. If after reviewing my portfolio and hearing my ideas you would like to proceed, a design fee will be charged to create your custom sketches. The fee varies depending on your needs. When I present you with your custom sketches, I will include a written estimate. When the design and estimate is approved, a 1/3 deposit is charged to secure your place in my schedule.

Do you paint from photographs?

Yes, I will review the photos you have in mind in person or via mail or email and let you know if they are appropriate for my use. If not, I will schedule a photo session to get adequate reference. The better the photos, the better the final painting.


What if I don't like it?

Satisfaction is guaranteed. You will have the opportunity to view the photo either in person or online before the final payment is collected.
